Speech and language evaluation and treatment services for toddlers and children in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Nice to meet you! I am Emily McGuire, M.A., CCC-SLP, an ASHA-certified and Michigan licensed pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist. My approach to therapy is child-led and family-centered, combining evidence-based techniques with joyful connection to support families and children with a variety of different communication needs.
As a speech therapist in private practice, I am able to build the kind of therapy environment I’d want for my own children: no waitlists, family-centered care in your home, and sessions that focus and build on your child's individual strengths. Every plan is personalized, and I partner with families to share tools that make a lasting difference. Most of all, I keep therapy fun, approachable, and positive every step of the way.
Most clients begin with a free consultation where we talk about your child's needs and how your family is hoping to benefit from speech therapy. If my skillset is a good fit for your child's needs and for your family, I will recommend following up with a full speech and language evaluation. The results of this evaluation guide my plan for therapy. I work with families to prioritize treatment goals and include families in each step of the process.
My practice comes to you in an environment where your child is most comfortable; I travel to your home, daycare, or other convenient location in Ann Arbor to provide speech and language evaluation and treatment services. At this time I am private-pay only but can provide you with a superbill for you to submit your insurance for possible reimbursement. Please get in touch to inquire about my fee structure or request a consultation!
